Chelmsford Borough Constituency Boundaries

Since the 2010 election, three constituencies cover the Chelmsford City area (formerly Borough)

  • Chelmsford - covering the city centre plus Springfield, Chelmer Village, Great Baddow and Galleywood (see map)
  • Saffron Walden - covering all the villages from Writtle north-east to Boreham (plus the District of Uttlesford) -
  • Maldon - covering South Woodham Ferrers and the villages east from Margaretting to Danbury (plus Maldon town and the Southminster area)

West Chelmsford

The West Chelmsford constituency covering central Chelmsford (including Patching Hall, Newland Spring, Melbourne, Beechenlea, Widford, Tile Kiln, Moulsham Lodge, Old Moulsham, Springfield and Chelmer Village) and the parishes to the west and north including Stock, Margaretting, Writtle, Roxwell, the Chignals, Broomfield, Great Waltham, Little Waltham, Ford End, Pleshey, Great Leighs, Little Leighs and Boreham.

Maldon & Chelmsford East

The Maldon and Chelmsford East constituency covering the District of Maldon and (in Chelmsford Borough) Great Baddow, Galleywood, Little Baddow, Danbury, Sandon, Bicknacre and Woodham Ferrers.


Rayleigh parliamentary constituency included the southern part of Chelmsford Borough (South Woodham Ferrers, Rettendon, Runwell and East/West/South Hanningfield).
