Chelmsford Councillor Jude Deakin helps secure new community defibrillator

Cllr Jude DeakinLib Dem county councillors have been spending their community grant budgets on projects that benefit their local communities.

Lib Dem County Councillor Jude Deakin nominated North Avenue Youth Club in Chelmsford to receive £1,000. This will cover the set up costs for a defibrillator outside the club. Cllr Deakin also nominated Chelmsford Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society, West Chelmsford Children's Centre and Tennyson Surgery Wellbeing Garden for grants.

Other projects nominated by Lib Dem County Councillors included helping with holiday hunger and "Together we Grow" which works with communities to grow fruit and vegetables and sell onto residents.

Cllr Deakin said "I'm proud to be able to help our communities throughout the year. From the big changes that can affect us all to smaller projects that make our communities stronger, it's important to listen to and support local people. Thank you to everyone who put their trust in me to be your Councillor, and who has worked with me over the years to make our community the best it can be."
