Chelmsford City Council creates "online High Street" with Click It Local
At Chelmsford City Council, the Lib Dem leadership have been keen to help local business recover from the pandemic. So they have worked with the "Click It Local" team to create a local alternative to those global shopping websites.
Said Council Leader Stephen Robinson, "Hopefully this can help independent businesses who have not set up their own online selling page; it's one of a number of initiatives from the City Council to help Chelmsford businesses."
The City Council and Click It Local have created a virtual "High Street Chelmsford". Shoppers can support their local area and still have their shopping delivered directly to them. The City Council is funding the first six months membership of "Click It Local" for Chelmsford businesses that sign up.
It's really easy to shop online with local businesses:
- search by stores, if there's one you know
- or filter by products
- or search gifts / treats
Need something quickly? Filter by delivery option. It's straightforward and you're able to buy from multiple shops with one payment and one delivery charge.
