Smita Rajesh is backed by local Lib Dems Cllr. Jude Deakin, Council Leader Stephen Robinson and Parliamentary Candidate Marie Goldman

Smita Rajesh is fighting hard for Marconi ward residents, in the upcoming byelection on 7th November. Smita is working closely with sitting Lib Dem Councillor Jude Deakin.

Commented Smita, "I am delighted to be working with Cllr. Jude Deakin and the Lib Dem team on the issues that concern residents in this part of Chelmsford. On the doorsteps you've told us of your unhappiness with the way Conservatives have managed local services and how they often take votes for granted.

"Time and time again we hear how unhappy residents are with the Conservative £15m overspend on the Riverside Leisure Centre, the poor state of local roads and footpaths, and the county council ignoring warnings about the state of the Army and Navy flyover. We now have gridlock on a daily basis."

Jude Deakin added, "With the support of Marconi ward residents on Thursday 7th November, Smita can be elected to work with me to stand up for residents, and ensure local voices are heard."
