Lib Dem Councillor Mike Mackrory (Springfield) has asked the Cabinet Member for Infrastructure about the Army and Navy interchange.

Mike asked for details of the terms of reference for the Task Force which has been set up to investigate solutions for the problematic interchange, and also how many times the group has met and what, if any, progress has been made.

Reply from the Cabinet Member for Infrastructure

'I thank the member for Springfield for his question on the Army and Navy Task Force.

The group has agreed that its terms of reference is to focus on a long-term solution of the junction of the Army and Navy Roundabout which leads to improved traffic in the area in the future. It will include information on traffic flow around the city so that any improvements made to the junction do not have a large negative effect on the rest of the city.

The group met on the 15 October 2018 and 10 December 2018. The first meeting focussed on aims of the task force, and the second meeting focussed on initial scoping work carried out by Jacobs, who are providing expert engineering input.'
