Road Repair EquipmentRepair work is due to start on 17th May in Linnet Drive and Firecrest Rd.

Notices have now gone out to residents in Linnet Drive and Firecrest Road advising them of forthcoming road repairs and micro resurfacing.

Carrageway planning will begin on 17th May, whilst repairs are programmed to begin on 19th May (weather permitting) and last five days.

The road will need to be closed (9am - 5pm) to through traffic during this time to allow the work to be done. Access for the emergency services and pedestrains will be maintained at all times. It should be noted that there will be NO PARKING on the carriageway at these times.

County Councillor Jude Deakin said "I do hope the micro resurfacing lasts more than a few months this time. However, Im very pleased to see that at least some of our estate roads are being repaired at last. Its long overdue, I just wish it was being rolled out across the whole of Chelmsford ".
