Several weeks ago Karen, a resident of Tile Kiln, contacted Cllr Jude Deakin about the difficulties walking along the footpaths leading to Mildmay School. The walk each day was becoming quite a challenge due to overgrown hedges. The issue was reported to the city council.

It should be noted that if the hedging is on private land, it is the owner's responsiblity to maintain the hedges and ensure they do not encroach on public pathways and roads.

A couple of weeks ago a delighted Karen reported that the hedges had been trimmed back and the footpath was clear once again. Jude said, "It may only seem a small thing, however these pathways are in daily use. It makes all the difference to the local residents. It was good to hear the job had been done and nice to receive Karen's thanks too".
