David Whiteing

David has stood in the Danbury, Little Baddow and Sandon ward in the 1991, 1995 and 1999 elections, and in conjunction with two other LibDem candidates has always come a good second to the Conservatives. In the November 2004 by-election he secured a huge swing from Conservative to Lib Dem: www.chelmsford-libdems.org.uk/news/21.html

In the by-election in Woodham Ferrers and Bicknacre ward, he reduced the Conservative majority from 252 to 108, May 2002.

David is involved with many of Danbury's organisations: Chairman of Resources on Danbury Parish Council, Chairman Danbury Twinning, Church Secretary United Reformed Church, Organiser of Christians in Danbury, and this year Co-ordinator of Danbury Neighbourhood Watch (for crime prevention).
