County Councillor Maureen Miller

Cllr Maureen Miller has been County Councillor for Great Baddow since 2001 and in that time has taken part in many local events and projects on behalf of local people. Additionally, Maureen is a Great Baddow Parish Councillor; Secretary of the Great Baddow and Galleywood Branch of the Liberal Democrats, and a School Governor of Baddow High School and Beehive Lane Primary School.

Said Maureen, "I have enjoyed representing this area on Essex County Council and look forward to the challenge of serving a bigger area now that this county division includes Galleywood.

"I will do my best to help any constituent to resolve problems they may have, whether at County or Borough level.

"I am committed to defending green open spaces against inappropriate development. My particular interests at county level are health-related subjects and education - especially concerning safety of children going to and from school."

Elected to the Borough Council in 1995; Parish Council in 1994. Currently Deputy Leader of the Lib Dem Group, spokesman on environment and serves on the Audit & Governance Committee.

Cllr. Christine Rycroft

First elected to the Borough Council in 1986. Was Mayor in 2001/2. Currently spokesperson on planning and serves on the Planning and Development Committees. Is also a Governor of Galleywood Infants School.

Elected to the Borough Council in 2003; Has been a Great Baddow Parish Councillor since 1991. Currently serves on the Development Policy Board and the Corporate Policy Board.
