Stephen with Lib Dem MPs Sandra Gidley and Sue Doughty. "The Government has failed to tackle these issues"

West Chelmsford Lib Dem Candidate Stephen Robinson says, " I welcome the newly-released Lib Dem policy for women aimed at working across the board to end the ongoing discrimination against women."

He went on, "The Government has clearly failed to tackle the issues that adversely affect women. Our key proposals include the introduction of a citizen's pension, based on residency not National Insurance contributions. As such, women who work part time or take time out to have a family would still receive a full state pension.

Other measures include a maternity income guarantee of £170 a week for new mothers, an enforceable Equality Act, an expansion of children's centres and free personal care for the elderly. All of which will go down well in West Chelmsford."
