Simon Hughes MP and Chelmsford PPC Stephen Robinson discuss CCTV installations at Chelmsford Police Station.

Simon Hughes MP, the Liberal Democrat President, visited Chelmsford on a whistle-stop tour on 22nd October. He met Chelmsford Lib Dem PPC Stephen Robinson, and toured sites in the town, including Broomfield Hospital and the Police Station.

He commented on the Liberal Democrats pledge to cut fear of crime with increased police presence on the streets and complimented the town on its effective high-resolution CCTV installations.

Simon was also the Guest of Honour at the Chelmsford & Maldon Lib Dems annual dinner, in the evening where he met many local Lib Dems and complimented the local party on its very fine recruiting record.
