MPs welcome 100th recruit

Lib Dem MPs Lembit Opik and Simon Hughes welcome Mary Edwards from the Melbourne area as the 100th new Chelmsford recruit

Two Lib Dem MPs - Simon Hughes and Lembit Opik - joined Chelmsford Lib Dems at a recent Garden Party here. They welcomed the 100th new Lib Dem recruit in the Local Party's current membership drive.

Mary Edwards, from the Melbourne area, is pictured here with Parliamentary Spokesman Stephen Robinson and the two MPs. She is the 100th new member to have been recruited in the last year.

The garden party was in the grounds of Lib Dem Parish Councillor Jim Menown's Writtle home, and was blessed with decent weather, great food and the usual high turnout for a Lib Dem social event.
