Don Bacon has lived all of his life in Waterhouse Farm. He worked as an apprentice at Marconi Radar whilst studying engineering. He qualified as a Chartered Engineer after 7 years studying with the Open University, and he now works at the Ford Engineering Centre in Dunton. He has been a parent governor at Westlands school, and will be standing for re-election. Don is committed to getting improvements in facilities and services for the ward, and is conscious of the way planning policy appears to have ignored the views of local residents. "It's clear to me that the planning process has not performed in the interests of local people. The Marsham Arms development is a blatant example of planning policy being used to justify unneeded and unwarranted change." |
