WATERHOUSE FARM

Don Bacon has lived all of his life in Waterhouse Farm. He worked as an apprentice at Marconi Radar whilst studying engineering. He qualified as a Chartered Engineer after 7 years studying with the Open University, and he now works at the Ford Engineering Centre in Dunton. He has been a parent governor at Westlands school, and will be standing for re-election. Don is committed to getting improvements in facilities and services for the ward, and is conscious of the way planning policy appears to have ignored the views of local residents.

"It's clear to me that the planning process has not performed in the interests of local people. The Marsham Arms development is a blatant example of planning policy being used to justify unneeded and unwarranted change."

Eileen Moxon has lived in Chelmsford for over 30 years, and has brought up her family of 4 who've all now gone into higher educa-tion. She trained and worked in Chelmsford at Springfield Hospital and the NHS, and now is a senior sister in general practice, as well as being a locum for several local surgeries. She is actively involved in local issues, including fundraising activities. With an Asperger son she was a founder member of SAFE, a charity Supporting Asperger Families in Essex. She was also chair of Families In Focus which helps families with disabled/special needs children aged 0-19 years. Eileen and her husband have also been Foster Carers for Suffolk County Council.

"If privileged enough to be elected as councillor, I would be passionate in Education and Health, and promote Lib-Dem policies for fairer social housing."
