Cllr. Ian Fuller
Ian is a Science teacher and has taught in secondary schools in the borough since he completed his qualifications in 1982. Ian has lived in the Springfield area of the town during this time and is an active member of the local church and is involved in developing the cycle routes east of the town.
Ian was first elected to the council in May 2007 and has been working with environmental services to monitor the provision of high quality public places.
Cllr. Pam Lane
Pam was born and bred in Chelmsford and has watched Springfield grow from its borders with Chelmsford out to the edge of the 3rd A12 that now forms Chelmer Village & Chancellor Park. Since 1992 she has been a member of Springfield Parish Council, serving eight years as Vice Chairman. She is also working on a sub-committee together with Essex County Council Libraries to submit a Lottery bid for the long-awaited library. If this is successful, there are plans to build in conjunction Youth Facilities, a Community Police Office, and an extension to the Parish Centre.
In 1999 Pam was elected to the Borough Council, serving on the Town Centre Management & Economic Development Committees. She lots her seat in 2003, but regained it in 2007 and is now serving on the Planning Committee.
In her other life she worked for a Chlemsford-based Precision Engineering Company as Company Secretary and Financial Director. In 2005 she retired after 27 years and now shares her life between Council work, the grandchildren, the occasional round of golf with husband Bill & any time left over supporting the fund raising efforts of several local charities.
