Great Baddow and Galleywood

Cllr. Maureen Miller

Maureen Miller has been a County Councillor since 2001 and has campaigned tirelessly for the residents of Great Baddow & Galleywood.

She is currently fighting to ensure that the local Fire Station remains open, as well as backing the ongoing struggle to have a post office in Meadgate opened. Road safety, particularly around local schools, also remains a high priority.

Great Baddow & Galleywood is also served by three Lib Dem Borough Councillors.

Springfield

County Councillor Mike Mackrory

County Councillor Mike Mackrory

Mike Mackrory has been a County Councillor since May 2005, during which time he has fought ceaselessly for a library for Springfield and to protect other key services. Mike opposes the Conservative plans to build new houses on the edge of Springfield, but is working hard to ensure that new developments are built with the necessary infrastructure and local services.

Springfield is also served by two Lib Dem Borough Councillors.

Chelmsford Central

Graham PooleyGraham Pooley was the Lib Dem candidate for Chelmsford Central in the 9th June 2011 by-election.

Chelmsford North

Tom Smith-Hughes is the long-serving County Councillor for Chelmsford North. He is currently leader of the Lib Dem Group on Essex County Council. Tom has led the fight for a council tax rebate for hard pressed Essex families and he continues to campaign to prevent the urban sprawl which would merge Chelmsford and Broomfield - see www.cmld.org.uk/planning

Cllr. Jude Deakin

Jude Deakin was elected as Lib Dem County Councillor for Chelmsford West on 4th June 2009, having been a Borough Councillor for the Marconi ward since 2007. During her time as a Borough Councillor, she has successfully opposed an application to build an O2 phone mast. She wants to see better youth facilities in Chelmsford, a circular town centre bus route and a park and ride at Widford.

West Chelmsford is also served by three Lib Dem Borough Councillors.
