Mary Bastick has lived in Chelmsford for 10 years with husband John (former Liberal Parliamentary candidate). They have 6 chlidren and 15 grandchildren. Mary was a General Registered Nurse for many years and later in charge of a care home. For the last 4 years Mary has been the senior organiser of social activities for the Lib Dems in Chelmsford and is an active member of the Catholic Community. Mary said, "I know the extra housing and other problems which have been foisted on the residents of Chelmer Village and Beaulieu Park by the present Tory administration and will rise to the challenge of making the views of the ignored majority heard." |

Richard Pennicard has lived in Chelmsford for over 25 years. He has been active in the Liberal Democrats, and before that the Liberals since the age of 16. During that time he has been local party treasurer and election agent, and was Liberal Democrat candidate for Chelmer Village and Beaulieu Park in 2007. Richard works as Quality Systems Manager for a local chemical research company. Richard said, "It would be a privilege to serve the area on Chelmsford Borough Council." |

Lester Wakeling and his family have lived in Chelmsford for over 35 years, so he has seen Chelmer Village and Beaulieu Park grow. His two children were educated at Tyrrells School and then at Boswells School. Lester has had a career in the financial world and, at one time, was a lecturer at Chelmsford College. He has been in demand for his financial skills in the voluntary sector and has been treasurer as a local Community Centre and a governor of Perryfields School in Springfield. Lester said, "I look forward to working for the residents to provide the amenities that are needed." |
