Cllr Tom Smith-Hughes: memorial service and tributes

A Memorial Service for Cllr. Tom Smith-Hughes will take place at Chelmsford Cathedral on Tuesday 8 May at 2.45 pm. (Map and directions.) Refreshments afterwards.

This service will follow a private family funeral. Instead of flowers, and for those wishing to make a donation in Tom's memory, there are now dedicated webpages. The family has suggested one of the following:-

Js Hospice - raising money to build a hospice for young adults in mid Essex (only two others in the UK). They also provide respite care. See here.

Tear Fund was one of Tom's favourite charities. It transforms lives for some of the world's poorest families. See here.
Cancer Research UK carries out pioneering research to help save lives. See here.
