Highways bosses have agreed a signage review at a dangerous motorway junction. Junction 28 on the M25 (at Brentwood) has long been identified as having lane problems. Brentwood Lib Dem campaigner Karen Chilvers has been campaigning throughout this year (February report).
Connect Plus Services, the route managers, said: "…we are aware of a number of issues that some users of this junction have with the signing and lining of the Brook Street roundabout and on the slip roads...a safety study to identify any changes that might improve the junction and the slip road approaches has just been agreed and will be carried out before the end of this financial year." They also confirmed that comments made by Brentwood residents will be considered by the team carrying out the safety study. However, any work identified from the review will be subject to available funding. Karen is now asking for clarity over funding, timing and the process that will need to take place.
