Stephen Robinson and Nick Clegg promise to clean up politics and deliver REAL change
I will be a different kind of MP, listening to and acting on your concerns. I will be part of the local community. My family uses the same schools, NHS and other local services as everyone else. Here I set out what you can expect from me as your local MP. It tells you how I will put local people first. If I don't live up to it, then you shouldn't vote for me again.
It is time to shake things up in Westminster. It is time for real change to a fairer Chelmsford.
I will put local people first. I will be here to help, listen to your concerns and stand up for our community. I will:
• have an office in the constituency open to visitors
• hold regular surgeries in easily accessible places
• ask you every year to complete a survey about what matters to you and report back on what I am doing
I will make sure your voice is heard - locally and at Westminster. I will be a strong voice for Chelmsford. I will:
• fight against the Conservative plan to choke Chelmsford with thousands of new houses
• continue to work with schools, voluntary organisations and young people to improve facilities and services for local young people
• meet regularly with local residents' groups and service providers like the police and health services
I will be open and honest about all expenses incurred in representing you:
• I will not ask the taxpayer to buy me a second home
• I will publish information about expenses incurred in representing you on my website
• I will answer questions you may have about them
• I will not profit personally from the use of expenses
• I will pay taxes in the United Kingdom
• I will not employ family members and will advertise all staff vacancies
