Nick Clegg came to Chelmsford to support local Lib Dem candidate Stephen Robinson
With a General Election confirmed for just over four weeks' time, Liberal Democrats in Chelmsford are looking forward to the campaign. Local candidate Stephen Robinson commented, "It's clearer than ever that, here in Chelmsford, the next MP will be either a campaigning Liberal Democrat or the same old Conservative back again.
"The national backdrop for the Liberal Democrats is good - a higher rating in the polls than in 2005; a popular Leader in Nick Clegg and respected Shadow Chancellor in Vince Cable.
"Labour is on the way out. People are desperate for REAL change - but they will not get that from the Conservatives. The two old parties are part of the problem not the solution (see http://www.labservative.com/
Only the Liberal Democrats will deliver fair tax, green jobs, a fair start for all children and cleaner politics."
