Chelmsford Showcase for Business must help create vital jobs in Chelmsford

Stephen Robinson, Liberal Democrat candidate for Chelmsford, attended this week's 'Chelmsford Showcase for Business' at the Anglia Ruskin University. He welcomed the event, which was designed to highlight commercial opportunities in Chelmsford, to encourage companies to set up here and to showcase the support networks available to help local businesses.
Commented Stephen Robinson said: "It is vital that local businesses are given every chance to succeed. As Vince Cable said when here last week, the growth of small and medium sized businesses is what will get us out of recession.
"If the thousands of houses planned for our town are built, it is vital that there are also thousands of local jobs created. Local jobs means less time spent commuting to London and other places which is good for families and good for the environment. We must see jobs created faster than houses are built."
